Tax Incentives

The federal government as well as many of the states have tax incentives that can make buying an electric vehicle
much easier to achieve. This makes sense because electric vehicles reduce the cost to the government to clean the
air and fight foriegn wars for oil supply.

This link will take you to a governemnt site that allows you to look up your state for tax incentives. The same site has
information on the federeal tax incentive programs.

Many of these are very exciting, so be sure to look up your state. Some examples follow, but this is not an all
inclusive list.

Colorado citizens & corporations should be aware of a very exciting program. From now until 2012 you can recieve
tax credits for 85% of an electric vehicle conversion. This is limited only by the amount of State taxes you pay and can
be carried over for 5 years. For more information, please contact us.

Oklahoma citizens & corporations can recieve a tax credit of up to 50% of the price of an electric vehicle. This credit
can be carried over for 3 years.

Louisiana citizens & corporations can recieve a tax credit of up to 20% of the price of an electric vehicle. This credit
can be carried over for 3 years.

Connecticut Corporations recieve a business tax credit for 10% of the incremental cost of purchasing an electric
vehicle.

California
- San Joaquin offers up to $3000 in incentives for electric vehicle conversions.
- Vacaville offers up to $6000 in incentives for electric vehicle conversions from an OEM.
- Sacramento provides grants for electric vehicle conversions.
- Many areas of california offer a significant reduction (up to 75%) for the cost of electricity used to recharge electric
vehicles.

Georgia citizens can recieve $5,000 in tax credits for electric vehicles and are allowed to use carpool lanes with a
single occupant.

Kansas citizens can recieve $2,400 in credits for electric vehicles under 10,000lbs.

Illinois citizens can recieve $4000 in credits for electric vehicles purchased from a manufacturer or vendor.

Nebraska provides low cost loans upto $150,000 per borrower for the purchase of converted electric vehicles.

New Jersey local governments, state colleges and universities, school districts, and gov. authorities are eligible for
upto $12,000 in rebates depending on the vehicle weight.

Oregon citizens can recieve $4000 in credits for electric vehicles purchased from a manufacturer.

Washington citizens can recieve a tax exemption for electric vehicles purchased from a manufacturer.
